| State Supply Corp. was founded in 1983. Owners, James and Elaine Baker pursued their dream to start their own business. They developed a business plan and started in this new venture. It began very humbly, in a small building located at 195 High Street in Ipswich. They sought out the local tradesmen and worked around the clock to get this business off the ground by offering personalized service and quality plumbing and heating products. The supplies quickly filled the warehouse and a small showroom was designed for the customers viewing pleasure. The support of the community was tremendous and very satisfying. By 1987, an addition to the whole operation was necessary. There was a need for a more expansive showroom, warehouse and office space. The new addition had more than doubled the size of State Supply and before long the space was full. Again in 1998, another addition was added to the warehouse. The showroom was also redesigned to display the newest in product lines and to offer helpful design ideas for every budget. The professional and knowledgeable staff has continually remained up-to-date on the latest advances in technology and products. |  |
